We specialize in Virtual Web Hosting which means
that you can find a home for your web site on our web servers and
establish a presence on the Internet. We can help register your
own domain name (e.g. WWW.YOURNAME.COM) which will become
your unique address on the World Wide Web. Having your own domain
name does not suggest that you are renting web space, and, since
email can be addressed to your domain (e.g. WWW.YOURNAME.COM ) you
will not have to announce a new email address if you change Internet
access providers.

A web account, like what's in our Standard
Plans, offers you an Internet presence using your own domain
name, in addition to web space and features that are suitable for
individuals and small, medium or large companies. Controls and features
are accessed through an easy to use Web Site Manager making it simple
to administer your own site. Plans range in features and price so
that you may select the one that's right for you.
A Dedicated
Server is designed for medium to large companies and is offered
to those wanting to put their own Internet server on-line. More
access, control and features are provided and the server is operated
by you in a dedicated environment, meaning that you don't share
the computer with others. Site administration can be done using
Telnet. You have the option of managing the server yourself
or you can choose to have RapidSystem manage the server for you.

Now you can have great web hosting packages
to choose from and nationwide ISP access too. RapidSystem offers
dial-up Internet access through its partner My
Internet On-Ramp (My IOR). Please visit MyIOR.com to learn about
our service offering.
You will need local Internet access in order
to maintain your web site and to retrieve email addressed to your
site. Many people who travel a lot prefer to use a national
dial-up access provider which would allow them to check email
or perform web updates from almost any city.

Yes, provided that you are registering your
new domain name through our Domain
Name Manager. Our domain name management system is available
for you to register or transfer, and manage your domain name.
If you registered your domain through another
Registrar we will provide you with our Name Server information so
that you can make the appropriate change at your Registrar to point
your domain name to our servers.
RapidSystem can service Non-US domain names
as well. Please refer to this page for
information about Non-US Domain names.

Yes. You may place your order with us by telephone
or online. We will provide you with our
Name Server information so that you can make the appropriate change
at your Registrar to point your domain name to our servers.
You should keep the service at your present
hosting provider while waiting for your Registrar to complete the
transfer to our servers. We will provide you with a temporary IP
address so you can upload your files to our site and mirror your
web pages on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed
from your present hosting provider until the transfer is complete.
When your Registrar announces the completion of the transfer there
is a 72 hour propagation period where visitors can go to either
site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous
host to have them delete your domain name from their records and
update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your
Internet access you will not be able to access your new domain site
at RapidSystem without using your temporary IP address, until your
access provider updates their DNS.

Once the InterNIC announces that your domain
name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable) it usually
takes about 72 hours before it is active worldwide. All Internet
providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new
site locations. This is called propagation.

Files can be transferred in three ways. 1) Files
can be transferred to your web site using the File Manager in your
Control Panel. 2) Files can be transferred to your web site via
File Transport Protocol (FTP) with programs like CuteFTP, WS FTP,
and Leap FTP, to name a few. Internet providers such as AOL, CompuServe,
and Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. 3) Files can be transferred
to your web site using programs such as Dreamweaver, Home Site,
and other web design programs.

Yes, you can use your account for commercial
purposes. The World Wide Web has become a most efficient and cost-effective
means of making information and products available to the users
of the Internet community.

For security reasons, it would be a bad practice
to give out access information such as user names and passwords
to your account. You would also be assuming the risk of file corruption
or deletion if someone using your account accidentally removed files
or used extensions that are not supported. Others sharing your account
would be greatly affected. If you know someone who needs a web site
send them to us. We will compensate you for your referral.

include payment, will be processed the same day. Once an account

a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion
