You can publish your site from Microsoft FrontPage using its FTP feature. Follow the brief instructions below to send files from your local computer to your web site on the Internet.

  1. Open your local website in Microsoft FrontPage. Select File from the top menu and then select Publish Web.

  2. When the Publish Destination screen opens, enter ftp://yourdomainname.com/yourdomainname.com/html in the field titled "Enter Publish Destination" and click Ok.

Replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name, but leave the "www." part of the web address off of the path.

  3. Next, you will be asked to enter your Username and Password. This is your FTP credentials to access the site. Enter ftp@yourdomainname.com in the Username field and enter your FTP password in the Password field. Click Ok.

If you have created a second FTP account for a staff member or for a designer, replace "ftp@" with the name of the second FTP account (e.g.: scott@yourdomainname.com) and use the second FTP account's password instead.

  4. The Publish window will open showing your local web site files on the left and the remote web site files on the right. Click Publish to start publishing the files or select individual files from the left panel and drag them to the right panel to publish only those files.
